That Nick Boukas escaped a judgment and garnishment against him by forging a check for $57.50 and turning it over to K. E. Dudley, justice of the peace at Bingham, is alleged in a complaint issued nv the county attorney yesterday. yester-day. Boukas is charged with obtaining money under false pretenses. E. G. O'Donnell sued Boukas to recover re-cover $57.50 alleged to be due on account, ac-count, and obtained a garnishment in Jastice Dudley's court. To escape this judgment, it is alleged, Boukas tendered ten-dered the V-ourf p check, and on this representation eered a release of the garnishment. The check proved worthless, worth-less, it being charged that the name of George Boukas- had been forged to it. |
