Organization Is Now Nearly Three Times as Large as Last Year. THE drum corps of tho Salt Lako high school has dono good work this year. There are about twenty-fivo boys in the corps, of which but few could drum beforo joining the corps. Tho corps is given lessons every two weeks by Del Becsley. In the first few years that a drum corps was formed at tho high school there were but thrco bovs who responded respond-ed to tho first call. Last year there were but seven boys in tho corps. Before Be-fore a drum corps was formed the trumpet and drum corps' wero combined. Members of the drum corps have much outside work. They have advertised adver-tised the football games and other athletic ath-letic contests of the local schools. Wayne Carina, chief drummer, deserves much credit for tho good showing: of the corps this year. |
