July 21. The men wexe arrested last Saturday, but no complaint has vet been made against them. It was the "intention of King fc King to commence com-mence habeas corpus proceedings In order or-der to secure tho release of the men. but when It was found that if they wero released re-leased on habeas corpus they would be Immediately rearrested on n warrant, the habeas corpus proceedings wero abandoned. aban-doned. County Attorney Evans promised Mr. King to have a complaint made against the men as soon as the Cllve case Is concluded. The complaint will charge assault with a deadly weapon with Intent to kill. Gundcrson is reported report-ed to be slowly recovorlng. |
