Show STARBUCK BELIEVES JAPANESE WAS CRAZY OAKLAND, Cal.. Aug. 4. Henry S. Starbuck, whose wife owns the Kendall ranch, said today: "I can believe nothing cl3e but that this Japanese was crazy when ho came to our houso two weeks ago and declared that he had been mistreated by the Kendall Ken-dall family on the ranch In Sonoma county. "When the Japanese camo here," continued con-tinued Starbuck, "he so frightened my wife and daughter with his statements that they telephoned to mo at my office. When I reached home he was still thore and I had a long talk with him. I-le acted insane, and after relating to me certain alleged cruelties which ho said he had suffored at the hands of Thomas Kendall, he declared that ho would make away with himself. "Yamagachl was as small as tho ordinary or-dinary Japanese, about-21 years old, and could not havo weighed more than 120 pounds. Ho was of a quiet disposition and would appeal to one as anything but a murderer." |
