With several hundred persons from this and neighboring cities camping In the Ncphl Central park In old, pioneer fashion, tho socond day'B festivities of the encampment of the Indian In-dian Wnr Veterans was held here to-dav. to-dav. Lengthy programmes were held both this morning and this afternoon, while this evening tho veterans and the other guests were entertained with a concert con-cert and a dance. Tho morning's programme consisted of addresses by Henry Beal, Ncphl Rlcse. Joshua Greenwood and Charles Grace and music- bv the Moroni Martial band and tho Ncphl City band. In addition to music by the Iwo bands. Josoph L. Jol-ley. Jol-ley. Andrew Jensen and J. L. NIelson spoke at the afternoon session. Recitations Reci-tations were given by Mrs. Annie Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Maude Vlckers. The veterans, vet-erans, together with some Ute Indians, held a parade after the afternoon session. ses-sion. In the afternoon there was also horse races and a baseball game between Nephl and Eureka. The latter team won by a score of 10 to 1. |
