Show VICTIM OF AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT IS IMPROVING Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Aug. L The condition of Miss Lydla Owen, the young woman who was run down and seriously Injured yesterday afternoon by an automobile driven by Leonard Fowler, an advertising solicitor for a Nebraska paper, Is much Improved today. For some time after the accident it wa3 believed that Miss Owen was injured in-jured internally, but the attending physicians physi-cians do not now expect any serious effects ef-fects from her injuries, which consist mainly of cuts and bruises on the body, limbs and face. Fowler, In explaining the accident, says that he did everything In his power to prevent the mishap, after he saw that the young woman had become confused while crossing the street. lie has agreed to pay all hospital and surgical expenses and remunerate the Injured girl for the lime lost from her work. It Is said that this arrangement Is entirely satisfactory with the young woman and her family and that no legal action will be taken agalnFt the automoblllst. a |
