Show THIRTY-TWO MEN OUT AT SCRANT0N MINE, TINTIC Special to Tho Tribune. EUREKA. Aug. 1. Although no strike has yet been formally declared by tho miners' union, thirty-two men walked out at the Scranton mine In North Tlntic this afternoon because they were compelled to board nt the company's boarding house and cat food which they claim was not fit for a dog to eat. The men camo to Eureka and a meeting meet-ing of tho union was held hero this evening. even-ing. At tho meeting it was decided not to declare a strike until an endeavor has been made to come to an amicable settlement, set-tlement, and tomorrow a committee with Secretary J. W. Morton of tho union win go to tho Scranton mine to soo the officials. |
