Mr. Smith hns been electod to and has accepted tho position of superintendent of thc Jordan school district. The other district is thc Granite district. Salt Lake City and Murray, being cities of the firHt and second class respectively, re-spectively, will continue, as hitherto, to manage their own school affairs and have their own superintendents and boards or education.
