Show I TINTIO HAPPENINGS I Discovery of Ore Reported In the II Mollie Gibson The Tintic Miner in its mining review re-view of the week says A representative of Montana smelters I ers was in the district Tuesday looking look-ing after a needed grade of fluxing ore I The probabilities are that a important I import-ant deal will result from hIs visit N N BrOwn came in from West Tintic yesterday d will return this morning He reports a good body of ore in Bertha mine and states that he will begin shipments by the 1st of January I Jan-uary I I Jesse Knight has two men at work I driving a tunnel to tap the Rising Sun I claim his recent purchase Diamond The tunnel will be about 1500 feet long and will not be completed in less than a rear A rich strike of goldbearing ore is reported to have beenmade on the 700 foot level of the Grand Central last Friday night At the present time we are unable to give either the extent or value of the new find The EurekaHill Mining company received re-ceived two small hoisting engines Wednesday Wed-nesday One will be placed on the new I shaft now being sunk above the mill and the other will go down in the mine wi for underground work I A 40horsepower donkey engine for the Snowflake arrived Monday and was taken to the mine A force has been at work this week laying the pipe to the CentennialEureka from whence the power to operate the plant will come As soon a it is completed the machinery will be set in place and active operations will be begun at the mine Shipments from the district for the week are as follows Fromthe Gemini S carloads ore from the EurekaHill mill 10 carloads concentrates from the Grand Central 2 carloads ore from the BullionBeck 15 carloads ore from the EurekaHill mine 5 carloads ore from I the Ajax 5 carloads ore from yie South Swansea 5 carloads ore from I the Uncle Sam S carloads ore from the Utah 3 carloads ore from the Sioux mill 2 carloads concentrates Total 51 carloads ore 12 carloads concentrates con-centrates While doing the assessment work on the Molly Gibson mine near Silver I City a most promising looking vein was encountered In the shaft Tuesday at a depth of about 30 feet The vein is about four feet wide with a streak of what seems to be very good ore No assays have been received of the rock up to our going to press so we are unable un-able to positively state its value The Molly Gibson is owned by R G Wil son and W H Ryan and joins the Alaska mine bn the south The shaft on the property is only about 500 feet from the Alaska shaft out of which there has been tae a great deal of rich ore in past years and is on the same vein The owners propose to continue con-tinue the development |
