Show Submits Low Bid On Truck FARMINGTON For the second time this month Clark Buick-Datsun, North Salt Lake, has submitted the apparent appa-rent low bid on a paramedic truck for Davis County. BIDS FOR the truck were reopened last week by the county commission after some questions arose over previous bid specifications. The sheriff's office asked to reissue the bids after one of the automobile dealerships submitted sub-mitted an initial estimate on a gasoline, rather than diesel-type diesel-type engine. Original bid speci-fications speci-fications had requested a diesel engine. THE TWO bidders Tuesday afternoon were Clark Buick and Olsen Chevrolet. Clark submitted a second bid of $12,743. Olsen submitted a second bid of $13,500. Clark and Olsen were the only two bidders on the initial bid opening. SHERIFF BRANT Johnson asked commissioners for permission per-mission to evaluate the second set of bids, then return to the board with a final decision. The paramedic vehicles are strffed by paramedics from the Davis County Sheriff i Dept. and are routinely purchased as other vehicles depreciate, mdm |
