Show CHRISTMAS CAROL Getting ready for the Promised Valley Val-ley Playhouse production of a "Christmas Carol" are Ethel Baker Callis, Christmas Past; Angela Brick-ey, Brick-ey, Fanny: and Matthew Schelble, Scrooge as a boy. The Promised Valley Playhouse Play-house will continue its well established holiday tradition of "A Christmas Carol." This season favorite will again play at the Playhouse beginning Nov. 27 and continuing nightly (except Sundays and Mondays) Mon-days) through Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. on the main stage. A matinee performance will be given on Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. THE CHARLES Dickens' classic was adapted for the stage a number of years ago by Pat Davis and original music was composed by Dean Mur-dock. Mur-dock. The production this year will feature some new and ex- -- -- n'n citing innovations such as more dramatic visual effects and a totally new orchestration for a full orchestra of 12 pieces. The roll of "Ebenezer Scrooge" will be a well-known character from the area, Gary Hughes. Mr. Hughes has thrilled thril-led audiences throughout the West with his many performances perform-ances and promises to bring a new approach and type of "Scrooge" to this production. OTHERS IN the cast are: Ethel Baker Callis, Spirit of Christmas past; Tom Stam, Christmas present; Reid Sorensen, Bob Cratchet; Julie Sieverts, Mrs. Cratchet; Ron Johnson, Fezziwig; Mark Francis, young Scrooge; De-bbi De-bbi Adair, Belle; Brook Hor-man, Hor-man, Tiny Tim. Linda Dupoint-Johnson will handle directorial duties with Evan Allred, music director; Tammy Naylor, choreographer, choreog-rapher, and Maury Newman as orchestra director. SETTINGS, which will portray por-tray the times of old England, ahve been designed by Clif Davis with special lighting effects by Keith Polette. Rita Baranova and Lucille Hobbs will handle the costume design and sewing. Last year many were turned away toward the end of the production because of ticket demand.
