Show Making A Paper Bag Hobby Horse rate the mask with paper hair, felt or button eyes, and yarn eyebrows, and make other facial fa-cial features from scraps you have on hand. PAPER BAG buckskin chaps can be made from two or three paper bags taped or glued together. The fringe can be made from another bag and attached. The completed chaps can be pinned to a pair of pants. For the buckskin vest use one large paper bag and cut out the front, neck, and arm holes. Decorate with crayons or felt-tip markers. To make it look more like real buckskin, carefully brush the paper vest before your child dons it. By NANCY MOORE THURMOND THUR-MOND To make a paper bag hobby horse, you will need several large paper bags, newspaper for the stuffing, several cardboard card-board rolls (either from paper towels or gift wrapping paper), and string. On a paper bag draw and cut out the horse's ears and mane. In another bag stuff with newspaper, twist and end shut. DRAW THE horse's eyes, nose on the bag. Put the ears and mane into position. Then place the twisted end of the bag into the end of a cardboard roll. By tying some strings tightly like reins around the nose, you can shape it. The hobby horse stick can be made by denting one end of a cardboard card-board tube and putting it into another tube until you have the desired length. To make masks from paper bags, you will need crayons, felt or colored paper, buttons, yam, and glue. On the sides of the paper bag, make half-moon cuts so it will fit over the child's shoulders. Mark where the eyes, nose, and mouth should be with a crayon. Cut out the eyes and mouth. Deco- |
