Show W ; v t 1 -&T I 1? C7 ""H ' VOLUNTEERS Heber C (Smitty) Smith and his wife. Sue, offer their volunteer service by making several trips a week to deliver meals for the Golden Years Center to shutins in the south Davis County area. Both are residents of North Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Heber C. Smith, "Smitty" and "Sue" are volunteers at the Golden Years Center. They enjoy their hours of helping to serve the senior citizens. AT THE PRESENT time Smitty and Sue deliver noon meals to shutins of the area and make this trip several times each week. They both say that it gives one a good feeling to be of help to those needing this service. They also help to package the meals, preparing them for delivery, keeping the hot foods hot during the delivery deliv-ery and the cold foods cold. Smitty is semi-retired from the insurance and investment business. Sue enjoys ceramics at the Golden Years Center and the couple resides at Camelot Mobile Home Park in North Salt Lake. THEY BOTH love to travel, recently having toured Europe. They lived in West Germany for 4 years. They travel mostly in the western states visiting children who live in various states. During the summer they are often found in their trailer in the mountains fishing and re laxing. SMITTY AND Sue would like to invite others, regardless of age, to spend a few hours each week in some of the volunteer services which are always needed at the Center. Anyone may call the center, 295-3479 or stop in and volunteer volun-teer a few hours of service for this important work with our senior citizens of the area, kj |
