Show Fackrell DUP Camp Holds Mar. Meeting The March meeting of the Fackrell Camp of DUP was held March 3 at the home of Dan Mitchell. KARI BYINGTON, captain, conducted and asked about the progress of the secret daughter program and announced the upcoming convention. Phyllis Miller gave the lesson les-son on schools during pioneer times. She emphasized that the pioneers had schools at the very earliest time as they settled set-tled in various localities and as they came to Utah. She showed a picture of the old building in West Bountiful where school, church. an,d other community events were held. Guest Dan Mitchell told of the building, of the present building, and the building 'of the older beginning two story building. His grandfather lui been on the school board. t: HOSTESSES were Phyllij Miller and Pam Derbidge. ThS refreshments were made morg festive as the punch waji served in mugs which cam from Germany. S; Allyson Taylor played th piano for the singing of th pioneer song of the DUP an$ the song practice concerning past reminiscences of growing up, playing pranks and going to school. Other members present pre-sent were Malinda Paget, Alice Mitchell and Lou Chaston. am |
