They said an easy solution to the drainage problem would be to replace the box and install in-stall a larger outline. Mr. Jackson Jack-son said the outlet line being used is the same size as the original line. "I HAVE been accused of installing a smaller line, but this is not the case," said Mr. Jackson. "The line is an 8-inch line, the same as the existing line into the box." Mr. Jackson said the logical solution would be to divert the water down the main street of the complex, but if this is done the city should make some compensation to the Pheasant-brook Pheasant-brook Homeowners Associa tion. HE ASKED city officials to provide street mainenance in compensation for handling the surplus water runoff. "I'm a downhill owner who is. taking a lot of uphill runoff a lot of excess water that shouldn't be diverted into the condominium complex," he said. "But we can handle the surplus storm runoff." MR. JACKSON and William (Dub) Lawrence differed in their opinions as to the size of the pipe leaving the storm drain box. "I believe that the size of the outgoing pipe was reduced in size and thus is causing the backup of waterthat floods my parents' basement. If the flow of water was not restricted, there would be no flood prog-lem," prog-lem," he said. AFTER A lengthy discussion, discus-sion, it was decided that the council would meet with the Homeowners Association in an attempt to iron out the long-existing long-existing flood problem. |
