Show Ray M. Cottle Dies At Age 64 Ray Mathias Cottle, age 64, died. March 2, 1982 in Salt Lake City following an extended ex-tended illness. He was born Sept.- 18. 1917 in Plain City, Ut..-the son of Lawrence N. and Lettie Roselle Lund Cottle. Cot-tle. He married Wealthy Flinders Flin-ders Nov. 15, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ill'- LIVED in Plain City for 45 years; in Hooper for seven yeafs and in Bountiful for the past '12 years. He graduated from Weber High School where he ran track "and played football. He was active in the Bountiful 30th Ward as a high priest'. He served as chorister for; several years and was the Sunday School superintendent and a'Sundny School teacher. He-served as scoutmaster for 15 years and had earned the Silver Beaver award. I Jo was active in all sports, served as pitcher in Softball; was' a basketball referee, played play-ed all-church basketball and w as. chosen center of the all-church all-church team one season. HE IS survived by his wife of Bountiful: sons. Robert R. Cottle. San Diego, Calif.: David L. and Alan G. both of Loveland. Colo.: Richard F. Cottle. Bountiful; daughters. Eileen Cottle, Bountiful, and Anne C. Johnson, Salt Lake City; two grandsons; his mother of Ogden; brothers. L. Glen Cottle of West Weber and Wayne W. Cottle, Plain City, sisters, Una C. Greenwell, West Weber, and Pauline C. Wangsgaard, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held March 5 in the Bountiful 30th Ward Chapel. Interment in the Plain City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist Bountiful Bounti-ful Mortuary. |
