Show Rites Held For Owen Sweeten Owen Raymond Sweeten. 49, died Feb. 3. I980 at his home of cancer. He w as born in Holbrook. Ida. on Dec. 16. 1930 a son of Colen Hagle and Mary Ann Casper Sweeten. He married Mary Louise Helton Hel-ton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Tem-ple on Oct. 23. 1958. HE SPENT his youth and received re-ceived his early education in Holbrook and Malad. Ida. He was a graduate of BYU and served an LDS mission to Australia. Au-stralia. He was employed by the U.S. Veterans Administration Administra-tion Hospital and the Tooele Ordinance Depot. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Centerville 13th LDS Ward; an instructor of the High Priest Quorum; a ward clerk and a member of the stake high council. He was first counselor in the bishopric while living in Dublin. Ga. SURVIVORS include his-wife his-wife of Centerville; sons. Derek De-rek Owen. Blake Adam and Michael James, all of Centerville: Center-ville: mother, Mrs. Mary Sweeten. Malad, Ida.; brothers: Colen Sweeten. Boise, Ida.: Elbert and Garth, both of Malad. Ida.: George. Kaysville: Cecil. Bountiful: Lloyd. Provp: sisters. Mrs. Grant (Nellie) Christopher-son, Christopher-son, Malad, Ida.: Mrs. Lloyd 1 ! OWEN SWEETEN (Florence) Hubbard, Malad. Ida. and Mrs. Steven (Fay) Cottle. West Point. Utah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 7. at 1 1 a.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary Mortu-ary Chapel. Graveside services ser-vices will be held at Malad Idaho Ida-ho Cemetery on Thursday. Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. Viewing will be at the mortuary, 729 No. 400 E., Bountiful on Wednesday Wednes-day from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Malad Cemetery. |
