Fawson. both podiatrists, announce the opening of their practice of pediatric medicine in the Bountiful Medical Center. II South First West, in downtown down-town Bountiful. PODIATRY IS a specialty of medicine that deals with medical or surgical treatment of deformities, injuries or diseases dis-eases affecting the feet of adults or children. Dr. Austad will be available to see patients on Monday . and Dr. Fawson will see patients on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling the Bountiful Medical Center at 295-3411. DR. AUSTAD is a native of Ogden. he graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1965. after which he began his undergraduate under-graduate studies at Weber State College. In 1966. he was called as a missionary for the LDS Church to.serye in.the country ofBazii .following, his, misM sion. he continued his studies at Weber State College and graduated with a BS degree in 1971. IN 1973. Dr. Austad took his , wife. Shawnee, and three children chil-dren to Cleveland. Ohio, where he attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating in 1977 as a doctor of podiatric medicine. Dr. Austad returned to Utah to practice podiatry. He has been in active practice prac-tice for the past two years with an office located at the Here-. Here-. fordshire Medical Bide, in Roy. DR. FAWSON is originally from Grantsville. Utah where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth C. Fawson now reside. He married Talana Watson of Farr West. Utah, they have two children and reside in Ogden where Dr. Fawson has an established practice of podiatric medicine. x He served an LDS Mission ; Jin Eastern Canada, attended Dixie Jr. College and was graduated, gra-duated, from iWeber Stale .College .Col-lege with a BSi degree in 1972. He attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, a four year professional school, where he was one of two stu dents selected from his class for an accelerated joint degree , program during which he worked toward a master's degree de-gree in addition to his doctor of podiatric medicine degree. FOLLOWING graduation. Dr. Fawson completed a one year podiatric medical-surgical medical-surgical residency at the Cleveland Foot Clinic and affiliated affi-liated hospitals. Dr. Fawson is now on statTat Bear River Valley Val-ley Hospital in Tremonton. Weber County Memorial Hospital Hos-pital in Roy. and North Davis Medical Center in Layton. |
