Show Daughter of Former Residents Dies of Polio Attack Mrs. Sylvia Jones received word this morning of the death of her granddaughter, Joan Jones, 12, from an attack of polio. The child is a daughter of Tren and Margaret Mar-garet Christensen Jones, former Cedar City residents who now reside re-side in Nyssa, Ore. Joan was the fourth member of the family that had been stricken with, the disease. Tren, and two other daughters, Janiel, 14, and Janet Marry, 10, were stricken Sunday morning as was Joan. Although the exact condition condi-tion of the father and two daughters daugh-ters is not known, they are apparently ap-parently recovering satisfactorily. The.other child, apparently more seriously stricken, was rushed to the hospital in Boise, Idaho, where she succumbed. The child was born In Cedar City about five weeks' before her parents moved to Nyssa to make their home. She is survived by her parents, the two sisters who are 111, two other sisters and three brothers; also her grandmother, Mrs. Jones, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Christensen of Provo. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Nyssa, where burial will be made. |
