Show 'Reflections' contest winners announced at Ashley The annual cultural arts "Reflections" "Reflec-tions" contest at Ashley ended on March 4. The winners were announced at an assembly at the school on Tuesday, March 25 and the awards were given that night. Judging was by various people and groups in the area and was entirely independent of the PTA. Winners in the literature entries are: 2nd grade-Aaron Brady, Lana Steinfeld and Rick Mortensen; 3rd grade-Natasha grade-Natasha Thomas, Lindsey Enloe and Brad Haslem; 4th grade-Trenton Searle, Lee Allday and Emily Davidson; David-son; 5th grade-Kimberly Madsen, Ryan Wright, Gayle Clark and Kellie Cox; 6th grade-Laura Steinfeld, Rebecca Claiborne, Ellen Husch, Bob Giese and Teri Tolbert. Music winners are Jennifer Jen-nifer Madsen and Kim Gross. Winning in the visual arts area are: 1st grade-Michael Hadlock, Camion Smuin and Clint Speirs; 2nd grade-Shanta grade-Shanta Mitchell, Lana Steinfeld, Jeanine Wilcox and Shane Shafer; 3rd grade-Mike Rasmussen, Kevin Pilcher and Susan Oscarson; 4th grade-Dylan Weales, Shaunlee Billings and David Wilcox; 5th grade-Vance Jergens; 6th grade-Michelle Hatch, Laura Steinfeld and Bob Giese. the winning entries in the primary and intermediate levels will be submitted in the state PTA "Reflections" contest. On Thursday, March 27, the last general meeting of the PTA for this school year was held at the school. In addition to recognizing and thanking all those who helped and worked this year, the new officers for next year were elected. President will be Debra Brady; 1st vice president, Kathy Alexander; sec. and treasurer-Michelle Binder; 2nd vice president-school principal-Len Gotfredson; 3rd vice president-teacher represent at ive-Ina Storey. Mrs. Anderson's and Miss Wilson's 2nd grades put on a square dance and fund raising bake sale which was held at the end of the meeting. |
