Show Lady golfers have meeting The Ladies Golf Association met March 25 with twenty-seven in attendance. at-tendance. The business meeting was presided over by Lucille Phillips, president. It was suggested and agreed upon, by vote, that the Association's golf duos be raised nominally, with dues being set at J5. Dues may be paid to Jeanne Orr. secretary, and ladies are urged to do so before the season's first "Ladies' Day." May 7. Handicap cards are purchased separately and are available from Jon Mauss. at the pro shop Handicap cards must be in possession before scores can he posted Virginia Garner. tournament chairman, reported to the group on plans for tournament play. Topping the tournament schedule will be the AIME Tournament in mid-May. sponsored by the AIME Association in the Uintah Basin. Dode Rolfe described handicap procedures and discussed rules pertaining per-taining to difficult play, such as sand trap shots, etc. Gerrie Buckalew, chairman of tee box improvement, reported that the city has agrwd to haul dirt for preparation of elevated tee boxes for the ladies. Gerrie has w orked with Jon Mauss and agreement has been met to elevate thete; on 3, 5. 6. 7, and 9. Work will begin when weather permits and when the course becomes dry at which time a work force will be needed to level and sod them. The Ladies Golf Association will furnish sodding. Highlight of the evening involved in "indoor putting contest", challenging putting abilities, and Helen Hood won this event, excelling with her putting stroke on the artificial putting "turf."
