Show Glines Carol Roberts B 789-4000 I Glines chapel bids opened The bids on remodeling the Glines chapel were opened on March 27. Beginning April 13, Glines 1st Ward will attend their meetings at Ashley-Maeser chapel from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Glines 2nd Ward will attend meetings at the Maeser Stake Center from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. George King had out-of-town visitors over the weekend. Their three sons, Michael and Jeremy Peterson Peter-son and Ronnie King were baptized Saturday. The boys grandmother, Mrs. Clara King and their brother, Gary King were here from Prove Mr. Steve Shoemaker, their uncle, from Sacramento, California was here to perform the baptism and confirmation. Gary and Ronda Gardiner of Grand Junction, were here for the weekend. They came for the blessing of Rhett Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Searle's grandson, Brad Glines will be leaving on a mission to St. Louis, Missouri. Brad, who lives in Odgen, has spent the last five summers sum-mers here with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Laing and their six children just returned from a weekend in Lovell, Wyoming, where they and Mrs. Laing's brothers and sisters surprised their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Powell for their 35th wedding anniversary. The family celebrated j with a catered dinner and special pro- ' gram for their parents. Mrs. Ruth Roberts went to Grand Junction on Friday for a medical appointment ap-pointment concerning her recent surgery. C.A. and Ruth have Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts and daughters spending the weekend with them. Mrs. Effie Holfeltz spent the weekend with her daughter, Mary Dickson. Mrs. Holfeltz came here for the baptism and confirmation of her great grandson John Keele. Mr. and Mrs. Vard Openshaw received receiv-ed word from their son, Brent, who is serving in the mission field in Columbia, Colum-bia, South America. He is enjoying his mission very much and has just baptized baptiz-ed ten new members. Sandy Simper and her friends celebrated her 14th birthday with a party par-ty of games and dancing. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Barber spent the weekend at Ferron Simper's home while their parents moved to Salt Lake City. Eva Roberts went to Bountiful last week for a bowling tournament. |
