National Guard Army Band to provide music clinic The 23rd Army Band of the Utah National Guard will be on tour Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12 in Vernal. The band, under the direction of Warrant Officer Norman R. Wendel, will conduct a day long music clinic and , concert for band members of the schools in Vernal and will participate in a National Guard parade the following day. The clinics, which are part of a continuing Utah National Guard community service project effort, are being held at the request of Randy Houtz, local high school music director. Band members will share their expertise ex-pertise and give technical advice to students. Much of the instructin rj be done on a one-guardsmaiJl student basis.
