On the local level we would hope that the water and sewer er'ities are through April fooling each other and are now dead serious in cooperating to get the needed sewer and water lines into in-to Ashley Valley. With inflation, high interest and bonding bon-ding an almost impossiblity, it looks like we face a "now or never" situation in getting our EPA grant for over $7 million for a valley sewer system into the construction stage. We hope with this week's activities the sewer project will soon become a reality. This week is the annual spring vacation vaca-tion for Uintah District school students. Thursday and Friday there will be no school. After two to four inches of snow that fell Sunday it doesn't feel much like spring, spr-ing, but according to the calendar it is here. Also this weekend is Easter Sunday and it is also the Sesquicentennial (150 year) celebration' for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was April 6, ltttO in New York state that the LDS church was officially organized. This weekend the annual conference in Salt Lake City will highlight this event. April is also the month most of us must remember and be sure our income in-come taxes have been paid by the 15th. It is also a time to start thinking about cleaning up the yard and making plans for planting the garden and making home improvements. So April is a busy month. We hope it will bring many good things and that it is a month when we get started right for a great and enjoyable summer ahead and not so much fooling. |
