Show FILES SUIT AGAINST ROBINSON CIRCUS Ogden Woman Says Street Parade Was the Cause of Death of Husband. ; Special to The Tribune. 1 OODKX, July 13. Preliminary action to the filing of suit for damages against, the John Robinson circus was taken by Lois Newey Keeter in the district court today when she petitioned for anpoiut- j ment of herself as guardian ot two minor children, Loreue and Lea Keeter. Mrs. Keeter is the widow of Malcolm E. Keeter, a driver for the Weber Lumber company, who died from injuries sustained sus-tained in a runaway accident last Friday. Fri-day. It is alleged in the petition of the widow that the estate consists largely of an action tor damages against the Robinson shows on the grounds that negligence anil carelessness on the part of the circus in the operation of its street parade resulted in the death of her husband. Mr. Keeter was driving a team of horses along Twenty-third street at the time of the fatal accident. The animals became frightened at elephants ele-phants in tho circus and ran away, j throwing the driver to the pavement. He sustained injuries from which he died two hours later. ! |
