Show FIFTY RECRUITS TO COME FROM OGDEN Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, July 13. Assistance of Ogden in procuring the necessary 500 recruits for tile military training camp at Fort Douglas next month was given tonight when Major A. R. Heywood and W. H. Wattis, president of the Weber club, promised that not less than fifty recruits would be forthcoming from this city. The pledge was made when S. A. Maginnis, managing director of the training camp, and Karl A. Scheid, chairman of the general gen-eral committee, were in conference with the city and Weber club executives. Representatives of the Salt Lake organization or-ganization pointed out tliat it was not a question of cities or state, but of one section of the United States against another. an-other. Active measures for the recruiting of the fifty members of the Ogden quota will be taken up next Monday wiien Mr. Wattis returns from a business trip to Idaho. |
