Is to bn urged to become a candidate for his old seat in the lowr house of congress, according ac-cording to a statement published here today. to-day. It was announced that U 4 0 0 names have been attached to the Ln rimer petitions peti-tions in the Sixth Illinois district. Mr. Lorimr tod tlie mass meeting of depositors of the defunct La Salle Street Trust & Savings bank Monday night that he did not want to run for congress again, but that he would like to be returned re-turned to the United States senate.
