Show Services today, First Ward, for Erwin BerteSsen Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. in the First Ward, for Erwin Bertelsen, 64, 1099 So. 4th East St., who died Monday, March 8, 1965, at the Spanish Fork Hospital of pneumonia. Bishop David Gledhill will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary, Springville, before be-fore the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Bertelsen was born Jan. 18, 1901, in Marysvale, a son of John H. and Lydia R. King Bertelsen. He married Selma Olsen on February 20, 1924 in Salt Lake City. He was an employee of Geneva Gen-eva Steel prior to his retirement. retire-ment. He was a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Bertelsen received his early education in Marysvale schools. In 1920 he graduated from the National Automotive School in Los Angeles, Calif. In 1921 he moved to Springville with his family where he had since resided. Mr. Bertelsen was employed as an electrician by Springville City, operating the Springville Power Plant for a number of years. From 1931 to 1938 he was a representative of Metropolitan Metro-politan and Lincoln National Life Insurance Companies. Mr. Bertelsen also had a home machine ma-chine shop. Surviving are his widow, Springville; four children, Mrs. Lorraine Hayes, American Fork; Scott and Ronald Bertel-1 Bertel-1 sen, both of Springville; Mrs. David S. (Chloe) Low, Colorado Colo-rado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, broth-ers, Linn and Lave Bertelsen, both of Springville; 12 grand-: grand-: children; two great-grandchil- dren. |
