The ruling is necessary so that city crews can grade shoulders of the roads, mow grass and weeds and do other work at designated times. Piles of dead limbs, brush and leaves do not make for a clean-looking city and those people who have rubbish piles on the street near their property, pro-perty, as being asked to remove re-move them immediately. The city on request from the property owner, will remove such debris and will make a charge based on the time involved. in-volved. The charge basis will be in effect throughout the year, except during clean-up week, it is pointed out. There is a city ordinance making it unlawful to dump garbage on city streets and notices no-tices are being mailed out to offenders to have such garbage gar-bage removed. |
