Show Clyde Foundation makes $5000 gift to school A $5,000 gift to be used for student loans for engineering students has been presented to Utah State University by the Clyde Foundation of Springville. Spring-ville. The gift establishes the Clyde Foundation Loan Fund at USU. The money will be used to match funds from the National Defense Student Loan Program, Pro-gram, but the Clyde Foundation Founda-tion Logan Fund will be used to provide loans for graduate students, juniors or seniors in engineering only, according to W. W. Clyde, Springville, foundation foun-dation president. Harry S. Clyde, Salt Lake City, . a former resident of Springville, represented the Clyde Foundation in presenting the gift to President Daryl Chase and Larry S. Cole, act- ing dean of the College of Engineering En-gineering at USU. The Clyde Foundation is a private philanthropic organization organiza-tion established by members of the Hyrum S. Clyde family of Springville. Two members of the foundation, Harry S. Clyde and former governor George D. Clyde, are graduates of Utah State University. |
