Show Coordinating Council considers curfew, other civic project plans a project to make Springville more attractive. The city council coun-cil will be asked to consider this proposition. Dr. Richard Miner, coordinating council member, was appointed to act as representative from the council to spearhead this project pro-ject if the city council agrees to approve it. The Cost The Administration's Administra-tion's budget works out to just under $10 a week for every person in the U.S. At the recent monthly meeting meet-ing of the city coordinating council, a number of important import-ant items concerning the public pub-lic were further discussed including in-cluding the opening of the Rivoli Theatre ,the curfew law, Four Seaons recreation project, golf course, use of present library li-brary building, and a new city beautification program. Chairman, Chair-man, Bill Pratt, presided at the meeting with seven members mem-bers of the council present. The opening of the Rivoli theatre is moving forward. The council then decided de-cided to propose to city officials of-ficials they they assume a basic heating committment on the building and anything over this amount be paid by the groups occupying the building build-ing as determined by the board of control when it was elected. The council also will propose to the city that they furnish the materials to put the building build-ing in shape so long as labor is furnished by the community, namely club members who plan to use the club room downstairs down-stairs that will be fixed up for that use. These things would be worked out as renovation is completed. The council 'will also purpose to the city council that a board of control be made comprising members of those groups occupying the building. , The council also discussed reviving the city beautification committee to go ahead with few law or revised law were 85 at the high school, 75 at the junior high, and 88 representing the elementary schools combined. The coordinating coor-dinating council had already suggested Springville should have the same law as other nearby communities if the law were to be effective. As a result, re-sult, Winston Crawford of the county coordinating committee was contacted by the council and the council is still waiting to hear from him. The Four Seasons project was disclussed with A. I. Tippets Tip-pets reporting on his meeting with Jackson Howard, chairman chair-man of the board of Four Seasons. Sea-sons. He reported that the board wanted to thank the coordinating co-ordinating council for the work they had done so far in helping this project. It was reported that the plans for the new city golf course near Kelly's Grove have been received from the architect archi-tect and grading will begin soon. A. I. Tippetts also reported his findings concerning plans to heat the present library building when the Chamber of Commerce and DUP take over |
