It is certain that there will be a sharp rise in the immediate' im-mediate' future, due to Christmas buying, which has not yet been reflected in the indicators. Specific Spec-ific items are: Automobiles: Late week shows an increase in production of 4,000 units over preceding week. October Octo-ber assemblies were about 30 per cent under September. During the first eleven months of the year, sales were well above the comparable compar-able period in 1933. Carloadings: Rose lately, but still below level of the same period per-iod last year. Increases are shown in shipments of coal, livestock and miscellaneous freight. Securities: Both stocks and bonds have tended toward higher levels recently. In the stock market, trading has been letahargic, while bond market transactions have increased. in-creased. Coal: Production is at a fairly high level, comparing favorably with last year. Steel: Has steadily increased output in late months. However ingot in-got output is considerably below the level reached at the same time last year. . Commodity prices :Recently declined de-clined for the fourth successive week. Late estimates place the average av-erage at 79 (100 equaling the 1926 figure) . |
