Transport Pilot ; No. 6520 GREETINGS FOLKS At the ren n est of the Cache American I the Hansen Flying Service of Tirron ic VlPTfthV jivmg a brief synopsis regarding the activities of the Logan Cache Airport and its 'uture possibilities. Until one year ago the two runways run-ways on the airport air-port were mere cow trails but thanks to the airport committee who through the I Floyd D. Hansenfacilities of the C W A secured l funds and the runways were wid- ened to the width of 325 feet JH and the intersection graveled, j bringing access to the airport one 1 step closer to an all year round 't lield for flying. The two improv- I ed runways are pnly a small por-tion por-tion of the 98 acres contained in ih the airport, the remaining part . of which could and should be I? leveled thus making it safe to n land in any direction or at any c . place on the airport and making t? year round flying possible. ll The Logan Cache Airport is one ' of the best in the intermountain a territory in regards to air con-ditions con-ditions and boundary surface, min- i , imizing the hazard of emergency i i landings to a very small margin ,-( and is well worth improving. , j Since the runways were widen- ; , ed one year ago 42 airplanes have x' visited the Logan Cache Airport I I from eleven different cities which are Kansas City, Denver, Wend-over, Wend-over, San Francisco, Greenriver, Afton, Pocatello, Price, Salt Lake j City, Ogden and Brigham City, representing all different (t"pesj i of pilots student pilots, private i pilots, limited commercial pilots, , y Army pilots and transport pilots, I i in comparison with only 17 air- iS planes visiting Logan in 1933 which . shows what progress aviation is i 1 making in Logan. In the mean- time if the Logan Cache Airport i was made accessible for all year q flying no doubt there would be r a number of local citizens learn r, to fly and operate their own planes. plan-es.
