Show PROVIDNCE CITIZENS HAVE PROSPERED WITH GOOD CROPS IN 1934 Our crops on the farm and orchard were bounteous. The health conditions in our community has been very good in general. An adult class in vocal music is being given by Professor Henry Otte, and a class in sewing for adults is also being given by Mrs. Merrill. We feel prosperous and thankful thank-ful for the condition of our community. i PROVIDENCE During the past year we have had several civic improvements. The public square has been plowed, soil hauled and lawn seed planted. New shade trees around the side walk on either side. A tennis court is under way. A beautiful flag pole was erected and presented to the ex-service men on Memorial Day with fitting ceremonies for the occasion. A new civic club has been Installed. Several homes have been remodeled. Our public school has eight teachers in the faciiHv. Our community held two bazaars, ba-zaars, each ward in turn, which! proved very successful. Several new cars have beenj purchased by our townsmen dur- j ing the year. I |
