The group has prepared a half Nf hour Christmas program with myfl. carols, narration and read-j read-j ings which they perform for ! I ard parties, Relief Societies, j ; clubs, senior citizen groups, ' ! rest homes, etc. In addition It ihey are in great demand to ; sing a carol or two at the ! 1 many Sacrament meetings in ! the area sometimes two or !S ! three appearances on a Sun-l! Sun-l! day. mA' THE ONLY "charter At member" still with the group J is President Deanna Birdzell, 4 second soprano. Flossie 1 Walker also sings second, W with Rose Denning and if Carolyn Ferguson singing first soprano. Alto parts are j sung by Viva Schwendiman I and Norma Denson. !vT? Choral coach and director is ;jvy Julia Sharpe, well known choral coach. Accompanist is Margaret Vowels with Bonnie l)betts doing the narrations "1 nd readings. . . THE Noteworthys began six itars ago with Gail Williams, knny Langford, Beverly Mulitalo, Bonnie Heining and leanine Davis in addition to Mrs. Birdzell. Most of the original singers have moved way from the area, necessi-atiriK necessi-atiriK replacements. Christmas, of course, is the busiest season for the group, but they are also in great demand to perform for church organizations. Relief Society opening and closing Members of the Noteworthies, who are busy singing at many events, include, front 1 to r, Carolyn Ferguson, Margaret Vowles, accompanist; Deanna Birdzell. Standing, Veva Schwendiman, Norma Denson, Flossie Walker and Rose Denning. socials, rest homes, etc. year-round. After a summer recess, they began working on the Christmas program back in August. Their repertoire is replete with both sacred and secular music with dozens of selections many of which ' are choreographed with dance type movements, to add variety and interest to the program, ml |
