Show Golden Years Events The Golden Years Center has been festive with many beautiful holiday decorations during this Christmas season, many friends have presented Christmas trees and decorations decora-tions to make a gala center for the senior citizens. GOVERNOR and Mrs. Scott Matheson brought a beautiful poinsettia plant. Grace Brown sent a lovely door wreath and Richard T. Clark gave a gift of one year's subscription for the Readers Digest. Reed Wuthrich, a florist, sent a .green Christmas tree, as did Philip Kennecott and G. Hansen Christmas Trees of 500 West. POINSETTIAS were sent by Aldin Hayward and Coy Hayward and Aldin furnished the chocolate mints for each guest at the monthly luncheon. Decorations for trees were furnished by Dee Packard Realty and the Val Verda Second Ward who also trimmed a tree. Barbara Anderson and Audrey Class furnished and decorated a holiday tree. Junior Girl Scout Troop No. 519 made many table decorations decora-tions for the luncheon with 400 guests attending. SEVERAL Boy Scouts assisted as-sisted during the busy holiday season and many other individuals in-dividuals helped make a festive fes-tive holiday for the senior citizens. ci-tizens. All these wonderful people are given a big thank vou and much appreciation for so many kind things that have been accorded the center and the citizens who attend. The center will be closed Dec. 23 and 26, but will open during the week, but no lunch will be served until Friday, for the New Year's party. FRIDAY, DEC. 30, a ham dinner will be served at 12 noon. There will be dancing with the Golden Glow music and a social afternoon with many prizes, will continue until 4 p.m. The center will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, 1978. THE STAFF at the center, Mary Stauffer, Merle Tag-gart, Tag-gart, Barbara Anderson and Audrey Class send a sincere holiday greeting to everyone and a very Happy New Year. Activities for January will begin Jan. 3 with regular classes and lunch. On Thurs day, Jan. 5, there will be a film on Medicare, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Mary Meredith will then speak on hypertension. hyperten-sion. Everyone is urged to come in for this Important program. ALL citizens past 55 years of age are invited to come participate in the fun and activities ac-tivities and classes at the center all during 1S78.
