Show ID eesl DooeDod At the last report meeting, Stan Smedley, County Campaign Cam-paign chairman, announced that the 1977 goal has been exceeded. The amount raised to date is 100,581. An additional addi-tional $5,000 is expected to come in by the end of December. MR. SMEDLEY lauded the j efforts of all campaign workers, the campaign vice chairmen Al Flake, Bruce Barton and Claude Mangum, and the division chairmen for their efforts. He praised the efforts of many companies in the county who have done a suburb job in supporting the United Way program. LAST YEAR the United Way was responsible for raising rais-ing $83,642. The total amount contributed by employees and employers in Davis County was more than $275,451. It is expected that this year's contributions con-tributions in Davis County will exceed $300,000. It is expected ex-pected that a final report will be provided early in January giving the highlights of the campaign effort. This is a great way to approach the holiday season by knowing that we have achieved a goal that has involved in-volved thousands of people and businesses and corporations corpora-tions who have been willing to contribute voluntarily toward a great cause to help others who need help.
