The Santa Claus legend comes from Germany but it has been expanded and changed in America, with greater emphasis on toys for children. Christmas Eve night, of course, is the high pitch of anticipation for millions of youngsters. MANY churches have special Christmas Eve services. ser-vices. Some church choirs still go about singing carols on Christmas Eve. The great Christmas rush, unfortunately, reaches its hectic climax for millions of parents on the 24th. If one can plan ahead and enjoy a leisurely Christmas Eve, it can bring as much pleasure, fulfillment and reward as the 25th. |
