The Wayne Parkinsons were happy to have his mother visiting with them over the weekend. Grandma just had to see the new baby. Kathy Telford Hepworth has moved back to live with her father Bob Telford. She is accompanid by her children Mandy and Miitey. ' The Stake Chess Meet will be held Dec. 27, 28, and 29 and Jan. 4 and 5. Keith Buys and Suzie Hoffman Hoff-man were among the singers in the Viewmont High School Madrigal chorus which sang in the West Bountiful Second Ward last Sunday. Featured were thoughts and sounds of Christmas. Jan. 6 is the date for the stake temple day. Lynn Buys Treadway visited visit-ed with the Paul Buys over the weekend. Benny Martin, son of the Howard Martins, reported his mission to the Canada Vancouver Van-couver Mission last Sunday in Sacrament Meeting. Visiting were many friends and relatives, rela-tives, including Barbara and Eldon Spencer and his sister Debbie and husband Greg, of Hyrum, Utah. Lisa Moore is home from the College of Southern Utah, and happy to be home for the holidays. The young people of the First Ward had a great time planning and enjoying a Christmas dinner Wednesday night. The wrestling season is well on its way. Shane Sweatfield ' won second place in th 105 weight division at the Brighton Brigh-ton Classic, while Reed Smith won third place in the heavyweight division. Other young men who have been participating are Brian Moore, Mike and Rex Foster, Lamar Bangerter, Thomas Rosemann, Scott Smith, Jason Scott, and Danny Tullis, who has been able to pin his opponents. City Administrator J. Dell Holbrook has been getting well acquainted with the jolly old elf with the pack on his back. Danna Mitchell and friend David Burt, from Berkeley, Calif, have been seen dining at the Fleur de Lis and the Hotel Utah Roof Garden, in Salt Lake City. Saturday, after his baptism, David was honored at a luncheon at the home of the Dan Taylors in Spanish Fork. Special guests were employees from Jacob Lake, Ariz. John Rich and daughter. Congratulations to Debra and Gary Pederson, in the birth of their baby boy. They live at 700 W., across the street from the Bishop Beagleys. The Cub Pack meeting of the Third Ward will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the cultural hall. Sacrament meeting in the Third Ward will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday morning. People are still thinking of ti;e Third Ward Christmas Party, where over 400 people attended, ate, saw a movie. and had a visit from St. Nick. The crowd was so large that there were people out in the foyer. |
