Friday Rites Slated For Martha Shanks Martha Eliza Gilbert Shanks, Bountiful, age 76, died Dec. 20, 1977 at her home after a lingering illness. SHE WAS born Aug. 5, 1901 in Joseph, Utah to Leandrew Jackson and Eliza Jane V Farnsworth Gilbert. She )ft married Joseph Shanks, June 8, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a long time A resident of Duchesne County and served as public health 1 nurse in Duchesne. Mrs. Shanks was an active member of the LDS Church. Her husband died in 1952. She was a member of the 11th West Ward, Salt Lake Central Stake. SHE IS survived by her sister, Mrs. Alfred (Alta) Hill of Bountiful. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 23, 1977 at 11 a.m. in the Russon Brothers Mortuary Chapel, 255 South Second East. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary Mor-tuary and one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Roosevelt City Cemetery. '
