Any coach of a school or club is eligible, and blank ballots can be photocopied, filled in, and brought into our offices at 76 South Main Street in Bountiful. Here are the totals as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14.: After the first three days of balloting bal-loting in the Clipper Coach of the Year contest, it's easy to see where the enthusiasm is, and isn't. Team spirit is very much alive in the South Davis Soccer Association, Associa-tion, -where two coaches have run away1 from the rest of the field so far. Coaches Kent Whitehead and DaVon Lauder are locked in a head to head battle (no soccer pun intended), in-tended), with Whitehead holding a slim nine vote advantage over Lauder, 149-140. Another soccer coach from that association, RaeLynn Goforth, has received six votes. But on the school level, both high school and junior high, apathy apparently lives.
