Show Foundation approves new members New members of the Board of Trustees of the Bountiful-Davis Art Center Foundation were approved, and retiring trustees given a vote of thanks at the annual membership meeting of the Bountiful-Davis Art Center held May 6. JIMMY Barrow, Bemett Baldwin, Bald-win, Ralph Merrill, Carol Morgan, and Naomi Shumway were unanimously unani-mously approved as trustees by those in attendance. Janis Chum-ley Chum-ley Wooten was also welcomed to the board as the new representative representa-tive appointed by the city of North Salt Lake. Trustees retiring from the board, whose hard work and support were acknowledged with gratitude by Board Chairman, Dr. Harris G. Bernhisel, are: Katie Gasser, Shanna Schaefermeyer, Kathy Skidmore, Alan Tibbits and John Trimming. OTHER trustees are: Ardelle Backman, Carl Brown, LaMarr Burton, Patti Choate (Clearfield representative), Alan Collier, Charmaine Halversen, Janeen Hancock (Centerville representative), representa-tive), Janice Hinckley (Fruit Heights representative), Kathy Holt, Julia Kleinschmidt, David H. Mann (Woods Cross representative), representa-tive), Brent Manning, Edward W. Muir, Frank B. Newman, Anton J. Rasmussen, Steven E. Smoot (Farmington representative), Phyllis Phyl-lis Southwick, Janice Wells (Syracuse (Syra-cuse representative). Bountiful Mayor Dean Stahle and City Attorney Attor-ney Layne Forbes also serve as ex-officio ex-officio members of the board. Other business addressed at the meeting included a financial report by Marilyn Coleman, director, and an address by Mayor Stahle on the prospects for the arts in Bountiful. The organizational meeting of the new board of trustees was set for June 10. THE BOUNTIFUL-Davis Art Center is a public non-profit arts center serving all of Davis County and the Wasatch Front. |
