Show Cast in lead role CEDAR CITY - Farmington native na-tive Julianne Crofts has been cast in a leading role in Southern Utah State College's production of the award-winning musical "A Chorus Line." Crofts will play the part of Judy a dancer auditioning for a role in a Broadway musical - in the SUSC production, which opens May 16 at the college. "All the roles in this musical are quite demanding, but that's half the fun," said Director Fred C. Adams. "These roles call for what in theatre parlance is a 'triple threat: 'someone who can act, sing and dance. It's hard work, but that is what makes this musical so magical." Crofts auditioned more than a month ago along with 45 other hopefuls for one of the dozen or so lead roles in the show. Since then he and the other cast members have been rehearsing the musical each evening, and learning complex com-plex dance steps during the day. "A Chorus Line" runs May 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24. For information or tickets contact the SUSC Box office at 586-7876. The box office is open 1-5 p.m. weekdays. |
