The famed Viewmont High School Beach Party was postponed post-poned until Friday, May 16 due to the Tidal Wave. The public is still invited to attend this great event. Admission is free. We will have food, booths, a fish pond, a kissing booth, a movie, games, water fun, and lots, lots more. Sorry for the inconvenience. See ya there on Friday-Rain or shine. THIS ARTICLE of Viking Views is the last one, folks. This has certainly cer-tainly been one incredible year. Let's take a look at what the next week and a half has in store for us. May 16 (Friday) The track team has their region meet at Davis. The soccer team also has their region meet on this day. Our baseball team plays Woods Cross at 3:30 and the Boys State Tennis meet will be held on this day. And, of course, this is the day of the famous Beach Party at 6:30 on the football field. MAY 17 (Saturday) The Boys Slate Tennis Meet will continue on this day. Our team has done an excellent ex-cellent job this year and should do a great job at this meet. May 19 (Monday) We will start off this day with a baseball game against Davis at 3:30 on our field. The band will then present their Spring Concert at 7 in the auditorium. au-ditorium. MAY 20 (Tuesday) The Sophomore Sopho-more Region Track meet will be held on this day starting at 1. Our baseball team will then take on Davis at 3:30 and the National Honor Society will have their event (I am sure I didn't need to tell you that). NOW THAT you know what is going on until the end of the year, I would just like to thank a few people. peo-ple. First off, I would like to express ex-press my appreciation to the faculty facul-ty and administration of our great school. We have had some tough times, but they have always pulled us through them and have made this year a very special one. Next, I would like to thank all of the parents of each of these students. stu-dents. Your support has been a great help with all of the activities we have had such as stomps, assemblies, sports, music, etc. I WOULD like to thank every one of the students. They are a great bunch with a lot going for them. I wish them all the best. Last, but not least, I would like to thank all of the officers. We have had some great officers this year. It has been a difficult year with our studentbody president being so sick, but with the help of both class and studentbody officers, we have been able to pull together and have a great year. Your officers have put in a lot of time and effort this year. I hope that next year can match the wonderful year we have had this year. Good luck and again, Thanks! The weather, though, didn't cooperate-except in providing provid-ing plenty of water! State Track Meet will be held on this day. The seniors will have a rehearsal for graduation as well as have the Senior Banquet which starts at 7 and will be held at the Marriot Hotel. This will also be the day for all Juniors and Seniors to turn in all of their books and clean out their lockers. MAY 25 (Sunday) This will be a rived. We will start off the day with the annual Looking Back Assembly. Assem-bly. This is probably the most fun' assembly and one that you will not forget for a long time. Then that night is the big event.. .Graduation. It will be held in the Regional Center Cen-ter and will begin at 7 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend this great i spring rung in me counyara irom I 6-8 p.m. I just wanted to comment I on our track team. They have had a few struggles this year, but have always come out on top. So far, they have had to postpone or cancer can-cer every meet due to bad weather. They are a bunch of hard workers that don't give up though. I would just like to tell them how much the school does appreciate their hard work. May 21 (Wednesday) This is the day for the one and only Madrigal Concert. We have had some excellent excel-lent singers this year who have most memorable and special day to all graduating Seniors. This is the day of the Baccalaureate. It will start at 2 p.m. and will be held in the Viewmont High School Auditorium. Au-ditorium. Parents are invited. May 26 (Monday) Memorial Day.. .No school. MAY 27 (Tuesday) Senior Sluff. Seniors will not be allowed inside the school building. The sophomores sopho-mores will now be allowed to turn in all their books. The Academic Awards program will also be held on this day. It will start at 6:30 and |
