Show Finalists for young entrepreneurs named By TOM HARALDSEN Nine students from Davis County Coun-ty are among the 62 finalists ir Utah's second annual Young Entrepreneur En-trepreneur Contest. Winner of the competition will receive a $10,OOC prize. Governor Norman H. Banger-ter, Banger-ter, the Department of Community and Economic Development, and the State Board of Education are pleased to announce the school winners in the competition. The Utah Council on Economic Education Educa-tion will be narrowing the field ol entrepreneurs to ten finalists by the end of this week, with first, second and third place winners honored by the Governor during his annual i conference on Economic Development Develop-ment and Education on Feb. 5. ) Finalists from the county and their business specialty include Rhett Anderson, Bountiful High, , silk screening and embroidery; I James Stout, Bountiful High . Center-ville. The top prize of $10,000, as well as a second place award of $3,000 and a third place award of $2,000, are being donated by Seldon O. Young, president of the Utah-based Utah-based NICE Corporation. Mr. Young and his partner started NICE Corporation II years ago with an original investment of $2,000. Today, NICE is the leading telemarketing firm in the nation and employs over 2200 people in Utah cities from Ogden to Cedar City. Other awards include a full scholarship scho-larship to LDS Business College for the first place winner.
