Show MD MISSIONARIES : i ' f - . .. f i ELDER ALLEN Elder Drew LaVern Allen, son of Gary and Meina Allen, has accepted a call to serve in the Seoul Korea mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will enter the MTC Jan. 13. Drew is an '87 graduate of Woods Cross High School where he was involved in band, wrestling and was mascot and yell-leader. He also graduated from Seminary and is an Eagle Scout. His farewell will be held Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. in the Orchard 9th Ward meeting house, 155 Coventry Lane, 155 S. 600 E., North Salt Lake. After the meeting, friends and family are invited to visit at his u luriiic: . ELDER HALVERSEN Gary Vaughan Halversen, son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Halversen, Hal-versen, has accepted his call to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brazil Curitiba. Friends are invited to his farewell Sunday, Jan. 10 at 3:15 p.m. at the Bountiful 40th Ward, 640 S. 750 E., Bountiful. There will also be an open house at the Hal-versens Hal-versens following the Sacrament meeting. Gary is a graduate of Bountiful High School, has completed one semester at Brigham Young University, Uni-versity, and has been an avid soccer soc-cer player at both schools. He will enter the Missionary Training Center Cen-ter on Feb. 3. : ' - V ELDER WILKINSON Jeff Wilkinson, son of Larry and Lucille Wilkinson has accepted a call to serve in the Tennessee Nashville Mission. He will enter the MTC Jan. 13. His farewell will be held Jan. 10 at 10:20 a.m. in the Woods Cross 5th Ward, 2064 S. 800 W. Jeff is a 1987 graduate of Woods Cross High and has been attending Utah State University. III I 1 I" ' s 1 ELDER KEARNEY Elder Mark Kearney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Riley Jr. and the late Richard K. Kearney returned re-turned home Jan. 1 after serving a successful mission in the Tennessee Tennes-see Nashville mission. He will report his mission Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. in the Centerville Stake Center, 950 N. Main, Centerville. Family and friends are invited to visit with him at his home, 1090 N. Kenneth John Cushing returned home Dec. 31 after successfully completing a two year mission in the Illinois, Peoria Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. He will report in sacrament meeting meet-ing in the Bountiful 8th Ward (640 S. 750 E.) on Jan. 10 at 1 1 :20 a.m. Kenneth is the son of John and Marco Cushing. J 1 VALORI CHRISTENSEN i 1 " i i Valori Christensen, daughter of Richard L. and LaRene Christensen, Christen-sen, 400 N. 100 E., Kaysville, has accepted a mission call to Louisiana, Baton Rouge. Valori is a high honor graduate from Davis High School and a graduate gra-duate from Kaysville Seminary, where she served on the Seminary Council. She is a senior at BYU where she is majoring in English and has a minor in music. Valori will enter the MTC Jan. 20. Herfarewell will be held Jan. 10 at the Kaysville 3rd Ward Chapel, 555 N. 100 E. at 8:30 a.m. An open house will follow the meeting at her home. |
