Show Isabel Folkman Laub Isabel Folkman Laub, 89, of 871 Hilltop Dr., Clearfield, died Thursday, Thurs-day, Dec. 24, 1987 at the Weber Memorial Care Center of pneumonia. She was born July 31, 1898 in Thatcher, Ida., a daughter of Joseph A. and Marion Izatt Folkman. She married Eugene McGinnis Laub, June 30, 1928 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Nov. 2, 1979. She was reared in Idaho, moving to Clearfield in 1951. She attended Idaho Technical College, Southern Branch, University Univer-sity of Idaho and Brigham Young University, where she received her certificate for teaching. She taught school in Stone, Ida. and on the Wasatch Indian Reservation Reser-vation in Utah, before going to work at Hill Air Force Base, where she worked for 24 years. She was an active member of the Clearfield 4th LDS Ward. Surviving are one son, Carl E. Laub, Roy; four grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Serena F. Smith, Simi Valley, Calif. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, Dec. 28 at the Lindquist's Clearfield Chapel with Bishop Shirl Okey officiating. Family prayer was offered by 'S-A ISABEL FOLKMAN LAUB David I. Folkman, Jr.; prelude, Nancy Lundquist; "In The Garden" Gar-den" by Arlene Okey; invocation, Kerry Jewkes; remarks, Bishop Shirl Okey; speakers, Nolan Richins and David I. Folkman Jr., "You're Not Alone" by Arlene Okey; benediction, Ned Newman. Dedication of the grave was by Dale Parkinson with interment in the Clearfield City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Wiser, Dale Parkinson, David I. Folkman, Dan Laub, Don Folkman and Clint Fessler. |
