Show "Shell Out For Polio" Slogan For Peanut Sale "Shell. Out For Polio" is the slogan for the peanut sale to be held Saturday, Jan. 14, to further contributions for the Polio drive now underway. The' peanut .sale will be under the direction of Mrs. Venil Johnson, John-son, teen-age advisor, and Ida Andrews, teen-age chairman. The peanuts will be distributed by the Union High School Pep Club. A film on pol'io, followed by a collection of contributions, totaling total-ing approximately $67.00, was held between shows at the Roosevelt Theatre the evenings of Jan. 1 and 3. A special thanks is extended to Leland Stevenson, owner-manager of the local theatres for his' support sup-port in this project. It is also reported that the Blue Crutch drive staged last Saturday, under the direction of Special Events chairmen, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Campbell was a great success. suc-cess. An accurate total' of the proceeds pro-ceeds from this project is not available'. Boy Scouts from the four Roosevelt LDS Wards' ""sold the blue crutches. The Kiwanis and Lions' Clubs will contact the local business establishments Wednesday, January Jan-uary 18, for donations.
