Show Boys Lead Girls In ScliooS Census For Current Year i Only 30 Were Not Enrolled At Census Time There are 2,415 boys and girls of school age in the Duchesne County School' District. The annual an-nual school census report conducted con-ducted by the district shows 1,230 of this number are boys and 1,185 are girls. Out of this number, 2,385 were enrolled in school as of Oct. 31. All but 22 of this number were enrolled in schools maintained by the local district. Twelve were enrolled in Utah private schools, and two were enrolled in schools outside the state. The census tallied 1,064 preschool pre-school children residing in the district; and 3,479 boys and girls in the district who had not reached the age of 18 as of Oct. 31. Three Not Qualified Only 30 out of the 2,415 boys and girls or school age' were not enrolled in school at the time of the census. Three of these were physically incapacitated; six were mentally unable to profit by instruction in-struction offered; two lived more than two and one-half miles from a school or free transportation route; one had adequate educational educa-tional opportunities in connection with employment; nine were married; mar-ried; and' three were not legally excused. The three students not legally excused at the time of the census are now in compliance with the compulsory school, law in Duchesne Du-chesne County, reports Supt. Rowan C.
