Show Mr. and Mrs. George Hacking returned Wednesday night from a twelve-day trip to Arizona and California. They visited with the Floyd Ross family at Parker, and went on to Los Angeles to visit relatives and friends. While in Los Angeles they had the' opportunity of going through the new LDS Temple, reporting that it is superbly su-perbly beautiful. The Ross family recently moved into a lovely home which they purchased in Parker. Leaving Saturday to spend several' sev-eral' weeks in Pamona, California, were Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Jordan, who will visit with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cal-vin D. Aubrey. Marion Bowman was a business visitor in Salt Lake City Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields last Friday night were Mr. and Mrs. Piatt D. Woodland and family of Tabiona. Sunday visitors at the Clair Ashton residence were Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Ashton, Mrs. Leslie Ashton, Mrs. Eve Ashton and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Schmiett, all of Vernal. ' Congratulations to Mr Mrs Rex Cook who are the proud parents of a baby daughter Dec. 28 at the Vernal HosPi '? "Nesa Pauline" as the little is known by, weighed 5 lbs u oz. at birth. She and her mother arrived home' from the hospiu New Year's Day to be greeted by daddy, and her brother, Larrv and sister, Pamela. y Mrs. Emily Wilkerson left Tues day for Safford, Arizona, where she will visit with relatives and try to regain her health. Mrs. Presley Timothy is in the LDS hospital in Salt Lake receiving receiv-ing treatment. Mrs. Whit Levanger and son Michael, returned to Roosevelt last Sunday after spending six weeks visiting in California. Roosevelt visitors this week were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Roberts of Salt Lake City, former local residents. |
